Additionally, I have experience selling electronics, including refurbished computer equipment and vintage camera lenses.
This venture, initially a hobby, grew rapidly, offering insights into e-commerce dynamics, marketing, customer service, and email campaigns. For some years, this venture provided a main income. I ended up transitioning away from e-commerce to pursue more hands-on IT and Software related roles, as they felt more aligned with my true skills and passions.
I helped built small to medium sized web-properties. From portfolio websites to boutiques, and larger e-commerce stores and vendors. Here I relied on development with low code environments, such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, Magento and Drupal.
I often took part of the design, but generally levered pre-built premium themes and templates. Through this process I got introduced to HTML, CSS & PHP, as well as managing servers, setting up domains and emails. I also went through several stages of what it takes to run a service based business. In total I must have served closed to 50 clients with their own web-properties and migrations.
